We have winter stored our boat at Olversons for the past 3 years. The location is a bit rural, but the courtesy cars help with that. The showers are great and the hospitality is great. Have been on the edge of a hurricane and the marina is very well protected. Fred has installed a very good WiFi recently. ATT signal is a bit spotty, but the WiFi is great. Olversons is the official home port of MTOA where members get one night a year free.

We picked this spot after a long day coming from NYC, and predicted strong SW winds. Our Manson anchor grabbed fast and held well, Sandy bottom. The land is too low for much protection, but the wind died down at night. It’s huge and would be much worse in any other wind. But it’ll do for an easy overnight.

We came into Harry’s for night to get protection from forecasted summer storms. They don’t have a lot of big slips, but two employees, who knew exactly what they were doing met us at the gas dock, and helped us tie up there. At $2 / foot, it’s a New England bargain. Not fancy, but docks in good repair, and private showers are clean. They even had disposable shower mats to step out onto. We walked up the hill (0.1 mile) to Edd’s Place for a delicious well priced lunch over looking a peaceful backwater.

A New England bargain at $1.50/foot + electricity. YC has great burgers and folks are friendly. Floating docks and the launch driver is helpful for docking. We rented a car to do some sight seeing and parking here is at a premium. We did not get gate codes, shower codes or a parking pass, but a member tried to help us out. A simple handout listing those codes and parking details would have earned them 5 stars. All in all, a pleasant place. Great little village within walking distance.

We saw a couple balls with the yellow ribbon, indicating ok to use. But also called the North Cove YC for guidance. The first ball we tried had no pendant, but we found one that had a pendant and a yellow ribbon. Not going in, just an overnight stop. Should be peaceful and quiet.
