Beautiful spot to anchor. Do not be fooled by the number of anchored boats towards dusk, especially on the w/e as it is a popular spot. Everyone cleared out but one by sunset. Pay careful attention to the approach as it is circuitous to maintain a comfortable depth as we have a draft of 6'. Great protection except from the east. Anchor held well in the mud.

Good, muddy holding, even in 15 knots of wind and 2 foot seas. One could probably dinghy up to Herrington Harbor South for supplies and a restaurant. Winds and waves easily access the anchorage from the east. I wouldn't use this as a storm anchorage.

Close proximity to Herrington Harbor South Marina Resort. Beautiful sunrise location. Lucked out on an extremely calm day/night, was a very enjoyable stay. Plenty of shoreline for easy paddle boarding and exploring.
