We adhered his directions (Argo's route was way off) and didn't have any trouble. Strong currents on this inlet and as we are here on Memorial Weekend, it is extremely busy but that's to be expected! Lots of boats are in this anchorage (15 at least) but there's adequate room. Although we didn't go ashore, there are lots of people moving about on dinghies and on the beach with dogs.

First time a storm made our anchor drag, and the second time had good holding. Dogs were swimming at the beach. Not good protection from wind or wakes from many boats going by. Pretty lighthouse and sunrise.

Decent room for several boats. Holding seemed good. Some moorings are in the area. Used Navionics to find the shallows as there are some near the anchorage. Navigating the inlet for our first time we called Boat US for valuable guidance which he actually came out and lead the way. Thank you Boat US! He also advised us of a couple of places to land dingy if shore access was desired. Some wakes from fisherman leaving in the morning.

A few gentle wakes in the morning from fishing boats in the channel.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Well protected from wind. It's not far off the main channel though so there is wake action during the day. It is quiet at night, I slept well. Dingy ride to Viking Village or over to the beaches. Fun place. You must pay careful attention to the charts and ATONs to avoid running aground.

Once inside the harbor, there are plenty of channel buoys with good shelter.

Holding is good, protection pretty good, however, all the local boats, both pleasure and professional, fly through the anchorage, often times as close as 50’! People swimming etc.... doesn't matter. There are 3 moorings. THEY ARE NOT
FREE. 2 are owned by a paper yacht club and 3rd is private. Dont use them.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

The anchorage is on the west side ( look for a small cove with a beach and two private docks and some mooring balls, which are free to use) with plenty of water 10+ ft.
Good cell service. Wifi is hit or miss.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Wind against current = NO GO! We found shore access to be a bit limited: the dinghy dock is at the launching ramp. Nice little village. Good restaurants.
