Holding is very good, wind protection is excellent from points south, but poor from northeast. If strong ne wind forecast Harbormaster opens Katama Bay to anchor in. Most of the area is in or borders a no wake zone, but that doesn't stop some discourteous people from speeding through the anchorage. Shore access is at the Atlantic Restaurant, usually very crowded. Edgartown has many upscale restaurants and shops, all good, but very expensive. There's also a bus stop that will give you service to all the towns on MV.
