Cuttyhunk is a great stop. We have been coming here for 40 years. The mooring pendants are about 4' above the ball making it easier to get a line through. The raw bar boat sell oyster, shrimp, and chowder, pricey, but good. The Harbormaster will pick up the $55 early evening. Be sure to have breakfast at the bass club. Hike up to the WW 2 bunker for fantastic views.

Easy in and out. May be made difficult if current is peaking. Best price on fuel in area, $3.38 per gallon if paid with cash or check is .05c. discount. Fuel attendant is very friendly and very helpful.

Large anchorage, room for many boats. We'll protected from all but north, northeast. Can be rolly from large wakes from large boats in the main channel in FI Sound.

Very well protected mooring field. The lines on our mooring were clean and looked new. The eyes were perfect for our cleats. When we called for our mooring assignment they sent the launch out to show us the way. I asked the launch operator if he would hand up the line to my wife, he said all we had to do was to pick up the float. He cost himself a $5 tip. The moorings are pricey at $2 per ft. That's more than Nantucket. Launch service, ch. 73, is $5 per person one way.

Stayed here 3 nights to wait out weather. Dock master Maddie has a great attitude. Friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. The marine store has very broad coverage and was clean and well organized. The restrooms and showers were very clean and very nice. There is a laundry and Wi-Fi as well. There are a Shaw's and Hannaford supermarkets and several restaurants within walking distance. It is a $9 Uber fare to old port city.

We didn't anchor here, we picked up a mooring from Bittersweet Landing Boatyard. (207-644-8731).The owner, Mike came out to meet us and hand us the mooring lines. Mike is the most friendly and helpful person. There is a Fisherman's CoOp a short dinghy ride away where we had a great shore lobster dinner for only $24.99. This small town was quintessential Maine and a delight to walk around. While not very well known, it is definitely worth a stop.

Here is a very large anchorage area. Holding is very good, wind protection is excellent from points south, but poor from northeast. If strong ne wind forecast Harbormaster opens Katama Bay to anchor in. Most of the area is in or borders a no wake zone, but that doesn't stop some discourteous people from speeding through the anchorage. Shore access is at the Atlantic Restaurant, usually very crowded. Edgartown has many upscale restaurants and shops, all good, but very expensive. There's also a bus stop that will give you service to all the towns on MV.

2021 Moorings are now $55/ night, daytime is free. Rafting is mandatory, up to a maximum of 4 boats per mooring. I have been there 3 times this year on week days and week ends and have not been able to find an empty mooring, so be prepared to raft up.
Lots to do in town, too much to write about. A must see is the Methodist Campground.

Previous comment is right on. Excellent fuel prices as this is where the fishing boats fuel up. Try to arrive at slack current as it can be difficult to tie up at peak current. Also, call ahead on ch. 80 for service.

Absolutely great place to visit for a few days. The staff is expert and very helpful with docking. The only negative is the pilings are outboard of the dock so they provide you with very long fender boards which make boarding a little difficult. You have total access to the Seaport which is a real working seaport as well as an historical village with period acting workers and several restored whaling and coastal sailing ships. They recently did a nine million dollar restoration on the Mayflower for Plimouth Plantation. They have several collections that are must see. Hundreds of antique boats in various states of restoration, hundreds of engines from the smallest outboard to the largest diesel, even a working steam engine. The artifacts collections has literally hundreds of thousands marine artifacts. Mystic Seaport is a maritime museum well worth a few days stay.

This is a very large anchorage with room for many boats. There is excellent shore access to both the beach and the town where there is a dinghy dock. The inner pond is mostly moorings with little room to anchor. The town is mostly high end clothing and gift shops with a couple of restaurants, coffee, and ice cream shops. Wind protection is good from the south and East and holding was very good. Wake protection is good after dark but during the day there is always a few inconsiderate boaters.

Very popular day anchorage. Arrived 4:30 and there were roughly 25 boats anchored. After 6:00 most left and I see only 5 cruisers and 1 sailboat spending the night. There is shore access on the east side of the bay, but no stores or village, just private summer mansions and a beautiful country club.
