Anchored here in 9 feet of water with a strong flood tide along with a 10-12 kt SW wind. The anchor would not hold so had to move to a location in the ICW which was not my preference but the closest location available. Also, there were crab pots in the area which I tangled with.. I would only try this anchorage again if there were no crab pots nearby.

Enter the river and watch for a hump on your starboard side at the entrance which goes away soon after you enter. Anchor center channel where plenty of water exists even at low tide. Room for several boats.

Came in near high tide. Anchored in the middle and at low tide, saw 8 feet. No waves even on 20 mph north east wind. Good holding. Would not plan on departing at or near low tide due to lower water at the mouth of the creek. Beautiful spot.

Narrow channel, but deep water all the way side to side. Current flow was minimal.

Might not be a great place if the wind is blowing across the channel as there is not a lot of room to get your scope out and swing a 40 footer.

Yes, low trees. A bit narrow to set anchor for remnants of tropical storm but holding so far. Swinging round and round. Low tide 10’ all the way to marsh grass.
