Lots of bugs in mid June, mostly biting flies. Convenient location. Lots of room to swing. Beware of all of the crab pots.

Was useful for staging an early crossing over Albermarle Sound the next morning. Depths were relatively uniform 9' across the area, though lots of crab pots. Very weak cellular signal (T-mobile). Holding was good -chain came up clean, although anchor came up covered in something like wet cement!

After setting anchor and dining below because of the bugs, we went to sleep. The next morning EVERY SQUARE MILLIMETER was COVERED in Midgees / Fuzzybills! It was incredible! While they don't bite, my attempt at dissuading them from spending the day on my dodger and bimini resulted in my being swarmed by the damn things. Initially I used a shop vac in blow mode, I then switched to a can of RAID. I vacuumed up about 2 pounds of dead/dying bugs as a result. They leave a green goo EVERYWHERE.

Woke up to an infestation of biblical proportions. This is probably seasonal and unfortunately May is the season.

T-Mobile signal was weak, ATT was fine,
Holding was great.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer
