Description:
Stay clear of the channel because shrimp boats use it. Steer toward the village docks from flashing green 5 and drop the anchor in 9 to 10 feet MLW. An east to southeast wind can create rough conditions. Show an anchor light at night and always ask permission to tie up the dinghy if you go ashore.

Anchored well off of town in 10 ft of water. Anchor set immediately. No current noted and well protected from all except southeast quadrant.

Best shore access is about a 1/4-1/2 mile dinghy ride to boat ramps shown on chart just north of town. Two nice ramps in a large, mostly empty park with lots of room for dogs. Surprisingly clean rest room facilities in small white building southeast of the boat ramp.

Nothing nearby, so very quiet. Be wary of 'fuzzy bills' (midges) at night. Boat was swarmed by them.
