Description:
Beautiful Anchorage with wind protection from East wind, with strong current, anchor to the current. Right in front of a home with a very long dock and they don't mind you anchoring here. A large shrimping fleet goes through the anchorage area at all hours.
NOTE: PER GA HB 833 DO NOT ANCHOR WITHIN 150 FEET OF A MARINE STRUCTURE SUCH AS A PRIVATE DOCK OR 300 FEET OF A MARINA, OR WITHIN 500 FEET OF APPROVED COMMERCIAL SHELLFISH GROWING AREAS.

Nice peaceful spot. We dinghied up the creek to the Fish Dock restaurant on Sapelo River for dinner. Made sure we left approx two hours before low tide for the run back to the boat.

Nice quite anchorage. Lots of swing room.anchor came up clean. Anchored past where shrimp boats came out. Would stay again.
