It is very narrow and the current is intense but it is easy in and out and the holding was good. We were able to take our dog to shore at the ramp by the bridge while we waited. I would use this as a daytime hook again in a similar situation but would probably find alternatives for an overnight anchorage.

Draft: 3.0'Overall Rating:1We could not anchor here. Strong current, narrow channel, boat docks, and crab pots in the only suitable drop area make this anchorage nearly unusable. Go further on to the bridge anchorage for more room.

If you want to go on the land you have to go to the public boat landing 1 km from the anchor spot(south). Small walk to go do the laundry ( plaza laundry ) 10-15 min, 20 min to a Harris Teeter.
And the McLeod Plantation is also near !
Very quiet place, nice houses around and a park at the boat landing.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer
