For people who loves to anchor forget this place !
Fist time ... no problem .. second time .. turn back !
Even if there is plenty of place at the end of the channel .. mooring field
Staff of the marina won't let you anchor
And not very nice on the vhf .

Really nice place ! Nice beach at low tide, good protection for the wake. Anchor with the current, 2 anchors so you won't hit the side. Very dangerous to enter in the channel, rocks on each side of the channel. Exactly like a hiking trail ! Very narrow and shallow just after. Best to enter at high tide. Boat 40 ' and up it's to risky.

Access do the lagoon has to be at high tide. Very quiet and beautiful! Good holding in sand. Good wind protection from all sides. Nice white sand on the beach!

We have called before and asked if they had a pump out station. Arriving there we had to put gas first (it was really important for the dock master). Time for pump out ... don't have the good fitting ... no pump out and they only accept credit card payment, no cash.

The current is strong. If you want to go on the land you have to go to the public boat landing 1 km from the anchor spot(south). Small walk to go do the laundry ( plaza laundry ) 10-15 min, 20 min to a Harris Teeter.
And the McLeod Plantation is also near !
Very quiet place, nice houses around and a park at the boat landing.

Very nice place. Grocery store very close (Kroger) and the laundry room close. Also à pet store all in the same place. Docks were clean, place for the garbage, toilet and a lot of place for walking in the woods.
