There's great dinghy access and it's conveniently located. There are a lot of wakes from boats going up and down the channels on both sides of the Anchorage. And there's a lot of junk on the floor of this Anchorage, I pulled up an anchor and I pulled up an anchor rode (about 300 feet of rope), and I ended up getting a rope wrapped around my prop shaft. You almost need to dive your prop shaft after anchoring here just to ensure there's nothing wrapped around it. I would use this again, but I will dive on my prop shaft before I leave out.

The bottom is sandy and our anchor with chain held well. We did swing around quite a lot. The anchorage is large and there are many boats here. We did not go to shore so we can't comment on shore access or shopping.

We dragged anchor 3 times while we were here. It has large boulders below and we had crazy storms popup which made it worse. Your boat will turn with the fast current or crazy winds. Re-anchoring at 3 am around lots of other boats is not fun. There are mooring balls available, call the phone number written on them to pay. The water is clear, lots of sealife, and Peanut Island is always nice. This is a challenging place to stay. We spent 2 weeks here.

We anchored as far south as Rybovich super yacht marina/yard and still had many neighbors.
The current isn't terrible but certainly noticeable.
The holding was very good.
There is a very nice city dock south of the bridge to land a dinghy, or even tie up a large vessel temporarily, but no overnight docking. From there you have immediate access to the city. There is no car parking associated with this dock. There are no services associated with this dock. I did get the impression they were building something new there, though. It may be more like St Augustine in the future.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Good holding. You’ve got views of marinas on the west side and homes on your east side. Quiet at night, slightly busy during the day. Anchored in about 18’.
