    Spectre Island Anchorage
February 8, 2022. Sam of WhatYachtToDo on a training and delivery journey. SeaRay 480MY with a 4-ft draft. See my previous note about this anchorage. Dropped at the same spot. We were the only boat this time. Anchor came up clean.

Would give it Five star but beach is military restricted. Great off the ICW anchorage. Excellent holding. We will always stop in here when coming by. Excellent north south protected.

Very nice anchorage, room for several large boats, we were the only ones at the time. Anchor came up clean, anchored right at the icon. Several small boats came in to visit the beach. No wakes from passing barges. Some aircraft noise from local Navy station, they played the anthem quite loudly at sundown. Overall very nice.

Very nice anchorage! Right off the ICW, 53 miles from Homeport Marina. We anchored in 11' of water where you can actually see the bottom! The anchor hooked right away. Small boats anchored near shore where people and dogs were chilling out!

WhatYachtToDo.com anchored here. Entered from the east by Green 51. FOLLOW the contours around. We draw 4.5'. Was near slack tide, did not see less than 8' on entry. Great protection from the wind. 10-15 feet once in. Dropped 25kg Rocna at N30-24.127 W086.41.825. Excellent Verizon and T-Mobile. A bit of distant noise on a Saturday night, but once downstairs, not an issue! Room for several boats. Anchor came up clean. Sam & Rev on Here's To Us.

Great holding. Sandy bottom. Wind/wave protection except from west and east. Enjoyed watching military planes landing. Busy on weekends. Some with careless wakes.

Great little anchorage for protection and seclusion. Sandy bottom with good holding. Track in/out is well represented on the charts. Go in/out just west of Green 51. If weather is changing, be ready for foghorns to sound like they're just on top of you in the middle of the night although theyre in the ICW channel!
