    Didn't take dinghy ashore but appeared to be a nice sandy beach. Pretty location far enough off ICW for wake protection and protected from gulf currents by the island. Island is a bird sanctuary and national park. Pets not allowed.

    Clay/sand bottom, 30 pound CRQ held through strong storms, we did a 360, and stayed in place. north side of island is well protected wit Southerly blows. The Island is a Nat, Park with wild life, Park ranger monitors the island, absolutely NO pets allowed.
