This is the best option only 15 mi from the Harvey Lock. We saw no less than 8 ft of water approaching from the west and anchoring in 10 ft of water. Air boat traffic ends at 6 pm.

Anchored in about 9 feet. Holding good. Airboat tour company nearby but operators were courteous and slowed down when passing us.

The depths here are NOT 8-11. We came in at 5-6. There are numerous small craft buzzing around. The activity slowed way down around sunset, but started up before dawn - about 4:30.
