Very nice: We spent 3 nights here, strong winds from south, quite well protected. The only knock, is against the town of St Armand’s Circle. For a state/community that relies on tourist $$$$s, they only have a concrete wall to tie dingy up to. Easy access, but they could do more for transient boaters, as could the entire state of Florida. Whether passing through for one night, or looking for something to do for a few sites, very worth stopping at.

Great place to get your toes in the sand. Anchored in 10’ of water, 100’ North of Shell Island. Short dingy ride or swim to this white sandy island. Not much protection from North, East or West winds. Great place.

We stayed her for 5 nights, waiting out a wind & rain storm. Great protection from pretty much every direction. We swung 360 on 75 ft of rode in 8-10 feet, almost right up to the east bank. Room for probably 5-6 boats.

Pirates Cove was great, food was decent, Bushwhackers plentiful. Great beach bar environment.

When passing Pirates Cove, entering/exiting the bayou, stay close to the beach on the west side of the channel. Plenty of depth if you stay tight.
