This marina puts in the extra effort to make their customers happy. It's the second time that we have stayed there, the first time was 2 1/2 years ago. This time we knew there was some bad weather coming and that we would need a safe place to stay for three nights. They found a way to accommodate us. Thank for very much...

Made a reservation to stay here. We got there and the current was so strong that we couldn't even start to get into the slip. There would have been damage if I forced it. So luckily we found another place. I canceled the reservation and they didn't charge me. It's three stars because of the current. Apparently that side of the ICW is noted for strong current, so just be aware of it if you're thinking of staying there.

The Gilmerton Bridge will not open unless the RR bridge #7 is open. There's no reason for it to open because the RR bridge clearance is only 7" and they want to keep the traffic flowing. If the RR bridge is open make sure you ask the Gilmerton Bridge for an opening, it doesn't open automatically if the RR bridge is open. I've seen several sail boats waiting when they didn't ask for a request to open.

This used to be the go-to place, but their prices have gone through the roof. Transient rate is now $2.50/ft, and their diesel price is currently 3.29/gal. The upper end of the prices while heading back north from Florida. It is likely that this will not be the go-to stop anymore.

This marina is one of a kind to watch the rockets take off, it is directly across from the space center. You can actually hear and feel them. It is fairly rocky with any wind out of the east, so be prepared to rock at times with any wind great than 10 knots.
The wild life is incredible with many different birds, Manatees, Dolphins, and an occasional Alligator. The parking lot and surrounding areas could be improved, but I heard there is a hotel going up. The new land owner was supposed to start construction late last year but it was delayed because of Covid.
The wifi is usually dependable, but there are times when connection is lost. Better than at other marinas. TV antenna reception is great. T-Mobile service is full bars. We switch to a hot spot if the marina wifi is slow.
The manager goes out of his way to help you. They are normally closed on Sunday but he came to the marina to help us in late in the afternoon.
There are really good restaurants within walking distance. There’s a donut place across route 1 that has the best donuts that I’ve had in a long time.
If it wasn’t for the rocking and land around it, I would give it five stars.
