An ideal launch location for Bahamian adventures East and South. We docked here for two nights May 11-12, 2021. The young marina team is welcoming and responsive. Food was excellent morning to night. Make time to refresh in the huge ocean view pool. Scuba shop, grocery store and golf carts make this huge campus a convenient layover spot. Beautifully located on the edge of the Tongue of The Ocean.

We bumped it up a notch for our visit to the historic and exceedingly pleasant docks of Rybovich. The sportfishing yacht pioneers of South Florida have long since departed their boatyard, which has evolved to the top tier of super yacht care and feeding. Nestled alongside the behemoths here for one night in February, 2021, we marveled at state-of-the-art maintenance machinery we never knew existed, from monster pump-outs to yacht washers. This being our last night away from home, we blew the budget to smithereens just booking this marina wonderland. We then took things to the next tax bracket indulging on sushi at the dockside restaurant, capping yet one more safe journey home. Andiamo!

We were here in 2019 and had a great stay, returning in February, 2021. Faro Blanco’s familiar, generous team took great care to make our experience safe and happy. We’ll be back next year if not sooner.

We’re frequent flyers here, one of our favorite stops on the way anywhere. Staff is super-friendly and helpful at the docks, fueling and check-in/out. Breakfast tip: the Deli (near B basin) makes the best-tasting, most humongous egg sandwiches we’ve ever had. Enjoy them at the lovely beach across the street or on your boat to get your day started with a smile.

We return here every trip to the Keys. The marina has retained its down-home comfort through the pandemic. The restaurant, not so much. Fortunately Key West Fisheries has a terrific restaurant open six days a week (closed Sundays) on this remote, fun-to-reach waterfront.

One night in February, 2021 was good for us. The staff is professional, the slips are tidy and tight and it’s a very popular spot. Crowds in mid-pandemic was not our thing so we moved on. Great operation, well-worth your patronage.

Close enough to KW; laid back enough to chill. Stock Island Yacht Club and Marina offered us shelter from the winds of February, 2021. The friendly staff took great care of our every need. Marooned for a week, we dined at their tasty Test Kitchen II and sampled a bevy of the best nearby Cuban restaurants for the occasional breakfast out. If you go don’t miss the nearby (“A great place if you can find it!”) Hogfish Bar’s Sunday Shrimp Boil. Close to the fishing, cruising and sightseeing waters surrounding Key West, the only difficulty you’ll have is leaving.
