One of our favourite marinas on the loop so far.

The facility was great made even better by the excellent service from the Dockmaster Darrell.

Darrell went out of his way to make us feel welcome to Blind River. He drove me to the local Hardware will propane tanks then picked us up on the way back from the grocery store.

The nearly new floating docks were great and had an innovative system of adjustable cleats.

On top of all this the cheapest fuel we purchased in Canada.

We tucked up into Crocker Island-2 as labeled on Navionics and it was great.

We anchored in 17' of water and had good hold. Cove was well protected in all except maybe North wind.

    Not sure about shore access.

Wonderful all around stay for two nights to avoid 30+ MPH wind in the North Channel.
Dock hands and over customer service was great.
Good shower and laundry facility convenient to the dock. A short walk to Mountain Lodge and other businesses around Killarney.

We initially planned to stay at the Mountain Lodge however they were full so we moved to the Sportsman and were glad as it was quieter.

We hiked to the Lighthouse which was beautiful.

Great stop all around. The Dockmaster Matt met us at the dock and helped us tie up. We walked to dinner and ice cream near by. Tim Horton less than 5 min walk from Marina.
In hindsight we wish we had spent the weekend here and not Peterborough.

Great place. Clean and quiet Marina with good floating docks right in front of the hotel.
A bit of a challenge getting in touch with representative to help us identify our slip but we figured it out.
Really good map of the Marina in their slip layout which made things a bit easier.

Echo other reviews that this is a great town dock with water and electric and request for $20/night donation.

Easy walk to shops including grocer, coffee/bakery and laundry.

There was some rocking during the evening however other than that great stop.

FYI older boats may have EFI challenges with new pedestals.

Overall good stay and as many reviews have said high wall with rings.
We arrived later in the day and appreciated the staff working with boaters already there to shift to accommodate us without a raft up for the evening. Having the portable pump out of come to our boat was a bonus.
We walked to the local ice cream which was great.

Great facility and friendly and helpful staff.
A short walk convenient walk in to town and marina staff helped with a pick up after grocery shopping.
Local brewery across the bridge had live music and pizza next door to brewery delivered to our table.
Slight negative is there was some issue with the power pedestals with two boats plugged in a breaker was throwing and one of the 50Amp plugs did not having full voltage. We were able to work around.
    Thank you.

Service great all around from the good communication on arrival to help fueling and pumping out and then docking.
The bath and store facilities are also good and convenient to the dock.
The finger pier we were on was a little dated but fine.
Tammy greeted us at the fuel dock and took care of us until we were secure in our slip for the night.
    Great stop, thank you.

I would liked to have given this Marina a higher rating however we had high expectations from reading past reviews that were not met.
Steve the Dockmaster was great and helpful docking which was a plus.
The floating docks were poor and the breakwater did not protect from the south wind. The result was a very rocky few of nights.
The walk to town and the train station was more of a hike than we expected. The result being we rented a car and explored farther away. We love Sleepy Hollow and Tarrytown.
Bottom line for the price paid we expected more.

The staff was very helpful both docking and departing.
The docks and facilities are first rate. The laundry and showers some of the best we have seen on our travels.

Try disappointed with the slip we were assigned. Our beam is 10' and at best the slip was 11' wide. Add to this a piece of metal angle iron protruding out from the dock.
The dock hand did help and after we expressed our concern he said we could move but as it was the end of a long day and the wind was blowing we stayed put. Expected much more for price charged.
Proximity to restaurant was a positive.

Great marina that seems to be a bit of a hidden gem. Being part of a high end motorcoach/RV resort.
Wonderful pool and lounge with a number of activities different days of the week.
We took advantage golf cart rentals at the resort to explore Everglades City.
Be aware of tides and depth as you come in channel.

Overall great Marina and great stay. Dockmaster Daniel check with us the morning of our arrival via a phone call them was waiting in the dock as we approached.

The Marina is connected with multiple adjacent hotels whose amenities were available to us to use.

We anchored east of R38 about 1/2 mile to watch a launch.
Holding was perfect however as wind picked up 12 from NW waves increased and spun us around a bit.

This is the second time we have stayed here primarily for the proximity to downtown restaurants and other activity.

The construction is a nuisance but we were here on the weekend so it was not a big deal.

The dock hands were good. Helpful during docking.

Laundry was good with fairly new machines and not stupid price.

    Very friendly and helpful staff.
As mentioned on earlier post they charged us for a 40 slip even though we are only 31 feet. The positive was a much long finger pier that made docking easy. Also to offset the slightly higher cost for the slip they gave a $10 coupon for the Marker 32 restaurant, which was actually better than we thought both the food and the service.
We also walked to Publix which was easy as there is a sidewalk.
The shower facility was good. Individual, lockable rooms which is always nice.
The Marina is busy with forklifts and dry storage boats but this really didn't affect our stay.
Also the channel in to the marina is shallow at low tide but there was a dredge operation ongoing so it should get better.

We anchored in the middle of this group of islands away from the houses that line the east shore, south of where this mark is.

There were a few boats that wakes us just before sunset but after that it was very peaceful.

A portion of the river current passes through this area so this kept us from swinging. Also we were lucky to have less than 3 mph wind all night.

Some bird life other than that very quiet.

Overnight stop before heading down St John's River. Friendly dock hand and cheap diesel were the positive. Also grocery and other businesses short walk away.
Bathrooms were good, seemed to be recently updated.

Negative was we were on the outer face dock for the night and were waked well in to the night by passing boats even though it was a no wake zone. Also pilings a little rough.

Be aware there two bridges to enter and leave this section of the Ortega River. The railroad bridge was open in the afternoon when we arrived but closed in the morning but did open on request.

Dock was open and we were able to dock in a slip in our 31' boat without issue. The finger piers are short but adequate.

We walked to Angel's diner for a burger and shake.
