One of our favourite marinas on the loop so far.
The facility was great made even better by the excellent service from the Dockmaster Darrell.
Darrell went out of his way to make us feel welcome to Blind River. He drove me to the local Hardware will propane tanks then picked us up on the way back from the grocery store.
The nearly new floating docks were great and had an innovative system of adjustable cleats.
On top of all this the cheapest fuel we purchased in Canada.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Great little marina. All new docks. The dock master Darrell and his staff are the best. Always the cheapest gas or diesel in the North Channel by at least 35 cents a litre. Yes it's a twenty minute walk to town but you probably need the exercise.
Taxi is quick if you need one.
There are also marine supplies available. Stayed there 3rd week of August 2023View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Great Marina. The Dockmaster, Darrel is a great guy. We came in with strong wind out in the North Channel. This marina is protected against that. He put us on the courtesy dock because it was too windy to get into a slip. We moved the next day to a slip with no problem. Great area right outside the docks for dogs to play! Town is a good ways away but we have scooters so it was an easy ride to explore the town. Little depressed since the mill left town, but there are a few great shops in town, LCBO, grocery store. We like helping to support towns like this!

Well-managed marina with new docks. Fairways are fairly tight. Marina is protected from North Channel waves/wind.
I did not use fuel or pumpout facilities, but other boaters did without difficulty.
Shower/bathroom facilities are in excellent condition.
It is a 20 minute walk to town. I was glad I had my bike. A restaurant, grocery, and Tim Horton's are in town.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

The work being done that was mentioned in previous posts has been completed. There are LOTS of shower stalls and toilets in the washrooms. My wife said, "There are more shower stalls and toilets than in a high school locker room!" The small shop sells some navigation charts (this is the first place in Canada we have seen them for sale). As previously mentioned, the staff are friendly and helpful. The breakwater does little to protect the marina from wind from the west. There is a boating supply store a block away. There is a store that makes great bread that is 3/4 of a mile away on the "main street" of town. An ice cream store is just two door past the bakery!

Very welcoming dock hands and staff. Nice new docks and in the process of building sidewalks (summer 2021). Plenty of restroom stalls, showers and laundry machines. Coffee/gift shop on site doesn't open until 9. Rode bikes to downtown, but most shops were closed (Monday after 5 pm). Good marina and location but not much there.

Blind River Marine Park is our last stop in Canada before we cross into the U.S. It's a nice marina with new floating docks, many bathrooms, showers, laundry and fuel. The staff were friendly and efficient and they accept credit cards. The renovations reported by the last reviewer are still underway. Unfortunately, the internet didn't work. The on site museum was closed on Sunday and Monday so we didn't get a chance to see it. We did not walk into downtown to see the restaurants and stores since it was raining.

We stayed here one night in early August of 2022. This marina has a good jetty to protect from waves off the North Channel. The marina has under gone major renovations that are nearly complete. The docks are all new with 30A pedestals where we used our Smart-Y adapter. The sidewalks are about 75% complete from the docks to the restrooms/showers. Rebar and forms appear to be in place for the final pour of sidewalk concrete. The restrooms were clean. There's a small museum and gift shop at the marina office. A ships store is nearby. The town center is about a 20 minute walk and has a few restaurants, pharmacy, and groceries. WiFi was being repaired and only worked near the marina office. Cell service was pretty good at the docks. This is a good place to stop but only 4 stars until the rest of the upgrade work is done.
