We traveled from the west end of Nassau and were going to another Marina about an hour away. The winds were stronger than expected once we started and the waves were 4 to 6 feet. Due to this weather, our dinghy broke loose from its chains on the back of the boat, and it was taking on water. The captain called this Marina to ask if we could come in and tie up somewhere just to secure our dinghy. The first question that was asked was "Are you a member?" The captain answered "No, we are not, we only want to come in so we can secure our dinghy." Again, we were told no, there was no room. There was never any regard for our safety at all. SHAME ON YOU ALBANY MARINA!

Great anchorage at the end of Bimini! Very quiet and calm. Went to Smitty's Beach Bar. Got out of dinghy and went up to restaurant. It's Spring Break. Need I say more. So we headed back to find another place and the owner told us to stay and he would take our order. What a great decision! Sat out by the water, away from the inside, and it was heaven. Great food and great service. They took care of us! Will definitely stop by again on our way back! Had some great conversation with a local too! Thanks Captain Thomas and Smitty for encouraging us to stay.

Great anchorage. Good holding. Anchor came up muddy but wash down took it right off. I would HIGHLY SUGGEST going past the big island and entering before the 2 small islands. There are markers to help you get in. We went in before the first island and hit a submerged non charted piling and listed to the port side about 1-2 feet. A little scary to say the least. Hoping to warn others so this doesn't happen to you! It is a great anchorage, just go in AFTER the big island?
We did not go ashore so can't respond to that. We have StarLink so cell and Wi-Fi were great.

Great place to stop. Members were very accommodating. Restaurant there is pretty good. Checks dates on when they are open.
We had an Uber take us to Alexander's Steakhouse. Great steaks. A little pricey, but with leftovers the next day it was worth it!
They have 1 washer and 1 dryer. Washer is great. I heard the dryer did not dry clothes very well. So ran it 2 cycles (1.5 hrs) and they were still very damp. Check to see if they have fixed this before you dry. They are owned by an outside business so not their issue. Had to hang everything up and let Mother Nature do her thing. ?

Great little marina. Fran and family did a great job getting 8 boats docked and all set up. They are improving this old lock area. The bathhouse is very nice too! Grandma's Bar and Grill fed 17 of us and the food was good. Cheapest meal we've had on the loop too. $51 for an appetiter, 2 entrees and 4 beers!

Great Marina. The Dockmaster, Darrel is a great guy. We came in with strong wind out in the North Channel. This marina is protected against that. He put us on the courtesy dock because it was too windy to get into a slip. We moved the next day to a slip with no problem. Great area right outside the docks for dogs to play! Town is a good ways away but we have scooters so it was an easy ride to explore the town. Little depressed since the mill left town, but there are a few great shops in town, LCBO, grocery store. We like helping to support towns like this!

Great anchorage. We stayed 2 nights. Their was a sailboat the first night and we were by ourselves the second night. There are a few cottages around this quiet spot. Did not go ashore but it looks like you could to let the furry friends play and do their business. Cell service was not great. Quaint little hidy hole!

Great hidden gem of a marina. Tim and Charles, the dock master and manager, went above and beyond expectations. Not the easiest of marinas to get into but they walk you right through it! Close to walking distance to a grocery, post office, Auto Zone, and a great restaurant on site. We took an Uber to and from Kitty Hawk.
