Marina Review for Birdsong Resort Marina

At Birdsong Marina. This is a special place. The Marina is a little tricky to get to since the creek winds around a lot. Bob, the owner, coaches you over the phone past the telephone pole, around the pitcher's mound and through the S turn. Rick, greets you at the gazebo dock and briefs you on the amenities: Pearl museum, farm and gift shop, complimentary courtesy car, area restaurants and free laundromat. Tina in the office helped us with all of our packages and Susan in the Pearl shop helped me pick out some beautiful things. Plus, they are an AGLCA sponsor. No diesel or pump out, darn.

Follow the depths in and watch out for crab pots. We had one other vessel our first night and several the next. Easy dinghy to sand beach but no dinghy dock. Dogs are allowed on the bay side but not on the ocean side. Wakes from boat traffic otherwise quiet.

Marina Review for Marlboro Yacht Club

Ahh, the swimming pool! My favorite stop this summer. No matter where you stop on the Hudson River there is going to be trains and wakes. There's no getting around it. The members at the yacht club are in charge of their own marina. They are pleased to meet you, willing to help and fun to talk with if time permits. There is free ice for your boat cooler, nice facilities to sit in the shade and barbecues. Town is a bike ride uphill so use those e-bikes if you have them. There's restaurants, wineries, distilleries, etc. Such a fun spot that we extended our stay.
