I have been at Thunder for 5 years. Don and Donna do an excellent job in customer service and always being very helpful. The beauty of this marina is they have so many slips in 5 years I have never had a problem finding a slip even on the busiest of weekends. Pete the mechanic is outstanding. He keeps you informed all throughout the process when he is working on your boat always doing quality work. The rest of the crew are all good guys who are friendly and polite and always willing to help. Everyone knows owning a boat is not cheap. Thunder’s prices are very good compared to other marinas and what you get is more than other marinas. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a Marina.

I've been them them for 8 years now they have always been very professional, Donna and Don are great and the service has been excellent. Everyone who works there is very helpful and accommodating, new docks are great and the service department does a solid job with repairs. Never never had a problem I've been to other marinas and by far they are the best. Hope this is helpful

Today I met the very professional Donna of customer service and Don. Unbeknownst to me I arrived with my boat on the trailer right at their lunch time. Donna and Don dropped what they were doing to accomodate us and what I thought would be a very stressful transaction went extremely smooth. Donna explained all of the rules and regulations and was quite forthcoming with the additional chgs that I realized that those chgs can be avoided in a number of ways. I am grateful to both Donna and Don for going above and beyond the welcome they bestowed upon us. I can't wait to start using their services and I am sure it will be worth every dime.
    Gratefully,
    Mary Petrou

I have been storing my boat here for about 5 months. The marina recently installed new floating docks, which are gorgeous. The customer service is excellent, the pricing is very fair. I would highly recommend this marina.

I'm not sure where anyone can find a better deal. Thunderboat's storage rates are very inexpensive compared to marinas closer to the ICW and the staff couldn't be more accommodating. What I really enjoy is having use of their floating docks so I can come and go all week-end (brand new docks were just installed - awesome!). I've never had a problem finding a place to dock and the service has always been outstanding. I've been at marinas that cost twice as much and don't have half the amenities offered here. Highly recommend!!

One of the worst customer service experiences I've encountered. Overpriced, they charge for every little thing. They kept charging me without asking for things that weren't occurring. I had to call several times to get refunded. Specifically they charge 50/day for you to have a mechanic out and your boat on a rack. I got charged extra days for that when my mechanic wasn't there. They charge $25 if you leave your Bimini top up. I was charged three times for that when it only occurred once, I had to fight to get the money back and I still have not received it, it was months ago. But even worse, they ripped cushions in my boat, the ignition to the boat got ripped out they had to fix it, they stained my boat and it took them three months to clean up that stain. They do not have many slips at al, l if you bring your boat back after five, you are constantly trying to find a slip to park in and often have to tie up to another boat. They take a lunch break between 12 and one and will not drop any boats in the water during that time it is very inconvenient. After they raised their rates I highly recommend going down the road to another marina versus this very small time, poorly run operation.

    Business Response:
As much as we appreciate all input regarding our marina, we feel these comments need to be addressed. We offer work racks at no charge for our customer's use, and we have an excellent service department on-site. Charging for outside contractors to work on property is standard in the industry and many marinas do not permit it at all. We give a warning to boaters before charging for lowering biminis, our staff has never ripped out an ignition and it is highly unlikely they ripped cushions while simply moving a boat unless the boat was in disrepair. We have over 60 slips designated strictly for our dry storage customers which is rare to find with dry storage. With unlimited launches, boats are rinsed, fueled on request, and waiting in a slip with the fenders out ready to go. Boaters are welcome to complimentary ice and can use these slips to come and go as they like. And yes, crazy as it may seem, the staff receives an hour break to eat and take a break from the scorching Florida heat. We ask for an hour's lead time to launch your boat, which if given, should not be affected by this break. We take great pride in our facilities, our service and our excellent staff as other reviews will attest to. We wish you the best at your next marina.
    WG Editor Comment:
    Marina response:

While many marinas in our area charge for most or all services above the basic haul and launch, Thunderboat offers added features that set us apart from our competitors. Our amenities include the use of over 50 in-water slips, complimentary use of our work racks, a full on-site service department, and unlimited launches. Your boat will be fueled up and ready to go on request and your engine will be flushed and exterior washed on retrieval. In addition, we offer fully enclosed secure storage with video surveillance, 24-hour access to your boat, complimentary ice and jump starts, and courtesy docks for tide timing.

Our rules are made clear from the onset, waiving the first fee for lowering bimini tops and outlining all fees for outside contractors. Most marinas will not allow outside contractors on property. We ask for just an hour’s lead time for launching boats, and crazy as it may seem, we do feel our staff deserves an hour lunch break when working in the scorching Florida heat.

When an 11 year old boat arrives to our marina with a broken ignition, we offer our services in any way we can to assist. It is just unfortunate that businesses find themselves held hostage by threats on social media when individuals are not happy with fees that are incurred. Thunderboat Marine continues to offer some of the lowest prices in the industry while always striving to maintain the highest quality of service.
