Very nice town with lots of downtown activities available. Marina needs increased maintenance performed. Website does not reflect the condition of the property. Nice gas station on site for automobiles.

Ditto other reviews on both marina and the delightful town. We stayed for august and September and weathered both Idalia and Ophelia. The marina does get some wave action with easterlies, and some wake gets in, but nothing too bad. As others have noted, owner Mark and dockmaster Stan are attentive and professional. A very pleasant stop.

One of the friendliest marinas we have been too. From the time we pulled up for fuel the dock hand Stan was super helpful and kind. We left our boat here for TS Ophelia as we had to travel - airport is super close. The staff made sure our boat was as safe as she could be. When we returned they again were double checking with us to make sure all was well. The town was beautiful, so many restaurants and cute shops within walking distance. The Galley Store had lots to offer as well on site. Bathrooms were clean. Mark is the owner and he is a great guy. We will be back.

Nice floating docks. No protection from waves that often kick up on the Neuse, so I'd avoid this is a big storm for sure. Bathrooms were adequate but not particularly clean, I'm sorry to say. They only had 50 amp at our slip but loaned use a pigtail so we were fine. This is a great spot for walking around the historic city, with Tryon Palace being a real highlight. Fantastic dining down town too!

Enjoyed staying at this marina. Very close to town. Due to mum fest there were no employees on hand to help us dock, but they advised us of this when we booked. New Bern is an awesome town. The store is fairly well equipped for everyday items and has a good wine collection. Did not use the restroom/shower facilities, but our buddy boat passengers did and said it was rustic and certainly a "city" maintained type facility. Dockmaster was friendly and very helpful on the 2nd day of our stay. Great restaurants and history in New Bern. Historic trolley tour picks up at the hotel next door. Very convenient.

Basic marina. No laundry facilities. Clean restrooms. Nice store. Friendly and accommodating. I'd stay there again.

Easy to enter, only "wind" current to deal with. Get's narrow fast if all slips are occupied. Floating docks with 50 Amp service. Stayed 2 nights. Easy walking to downtown restaurants and shops. West Marine is a 10-15 minute car ride and not well suited for sailors. Great boatyard across the harbor (Bridgeton Boatworks). Galley Stores Marina is a working BP gas station and convenience store with a better than average wine selection! Loses points for bathrooms and shower situation.

The fuel dock here is not manned, so you must call the Galley Store at 252-633-4648 prior to docking to make sure someone is available. They will not pump fuel unless the right person is there to do it. Plan accordingly. Also, there is no pump out at the fuel dock, only inside the marina.

We enjoyed staying at Galley Store and Marina. It’s one block from the charming historic downtown. Lots of shops, restaurants and churches.
Mark, the marina manager is wonderful. He is full of local knowledge. Always willing to help out. My parent’s boat needed transmission work but were not able to find anyone local who could help in a short time frame. Mark made some calls and they had help with in days. One of the first things he said upon arrival was, let me know if you need a doctor, dentist or anything like that, I can make some calls. How often do you hear that???
They have a courtesy car. We didn’t need to use it so I can’t speak to the shape it’s in. We also didn’t use the restrooms or showers, so nothing to add there.

The Galley Store had a wine tasting the the night after we arrived. They were also able to order a specific wine I was looking for. All in all, great Marina. We will be back.

Slips not well marked. No signs/markings when entering marina. Marina staff not helpful when called for direction. Some store staff just plain unfriendly. Shower rooms dirty - floors, mats were gross! Cheap for a reason!
