The anchorage itself was fine with good holding in 7 ft of water. Anchor chain came up with a sticky, muddy mess.

We anchored near the house that is on the point of land (where you could take a slight right or left turn). Anchored in 7' of water. Mud bottom, with good holding. It is a great place to spend the night.

Quiet with 8-9' depth, mud bottom. We had difficulty getting our anchor to hold in the spot further into the bay however.

If you stay here on the weekend, people will be riding jetskis and towing waterskiers around your anchored boat here. Otherwise, this is a peaceful and idyllic stop.

Several other boats anchored and plenty of room. Very calm and quiet. Fishing Bay Yacht Club was fun to visit…great southern hospitality to us "poor" transient boaters.

Shore access via the free dock you passed on the way in.

You are protected from all directions with very little boat traffic.
