Good AT&T cell coverage. Large area that can hold multiple boats with good depth.

Mild winds and a sunny day made this a pleasant anchorage again. Plenty of swing room so no stress anchorage. Good holding and anchor came up clean. Nice peaceful night and good nights sleep. Cell coverage on ATT and Verizon were decent. TV stations from Savannah were good signals 3 31 2021 anchored here for the night. Strong current but holding was good even with 30 MPH winds. Would have explored more with the dingy but winds, rain and cold weather discouraged us this time. Will return again to explore sometime.

Got close enough for 15' of depth. Nice walk on the beach. Inland is off limits.

No services but very beautiful. The beach was just to the north where we walked the dog. There was a mild current from the tides. The inlet was deep, so we anchored in 20 ft of mud within 50 yds of shore. One bar a T-Mobile service. Over the air TV channels available. St. Catherine's Channel was deep and wide coming in.

The current is SIGNIFICANT. We used two anchors in a Bahamian mooring arrangement and it was really good.
The cellular coverage for AT&T was pretty good. We had strong signal and speed tests over 15mbit. I think we could have stayed here and worked for the week.
There were two other boats anchored here - probably room for 30+ boats so there should always be room.
The bugs were intolerable. After we got the anchor(s) set we went inside and didn't step outside again until it was time to haul anchor(s) and get out of there.
I didn't see any good shore access around and I don't think I would want to even if it were available. Too many bugs!View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

We anchored mid channel about a 1/2 mile south of the north end of the mouth of the river in 15-18 feet of depth MLW. Open to to North and South wind but otherwise well protected. Strong current runs through the anchorage, but anchor set immediately, held well and came up clean. Good beach to land dog on the eastern shore at low tide but nearer high tide beach disappears. Bugs are fierce onshore near sunset/sunrise, but bug free in anchorage.

We anchored near the north end of the mouth of the river just South of St. Catherine's sound. 15-18 feet of depth MLW. Protected from east wind by the island. Far enough from both the shore to the East and the marsh on the west to be bug free. Some small fishing boats passed by but that was not an issue. Holding was very good with the changes in tides.
