Nice walkable area with plenty of shops and restaurants. Anchorage was choppy from wind and some pretty bad boat wakes. The dinghy dock was nice and easy to get to. Main downside is the power lines. Made us uncomfortable so when the wind picked up we decided to move on.

This anchorage does get a little rough with a southern blow, but with very little current your bow stays in the wind. The public dock was too shallow for our draft, still easy to get to by Dinghy. Very clean park with even a fountain that young kids can play in. There is also Ryan's pizza and pub that has a balcony you can watch your vessel bounce around. The one thing we didn't like about this anchorage was the wake makers in the larger power boats.

Been here a week, with winds from all directions and up to 26 kts, haven't budged. Easy dinghy ride to free docks, or to Griffis Landing NE of bridge, in all but S or SE winds when fetch grows chop. Marina N of bridge not friendly to anchored boaters, refused access to laundry/showers. About 1/2 mile from Griffis Landing are Publix, Home Depot, CVS, Chase, Pet Suprmkt, and a few restaurants.

Holding seemed good but we had light winds. Always enjoy visiting this town through the years. Can be lumpy in strong winds so fair weather anchorage. There are some sunken boats scattered around here so be cautious

Many boats make it tough to anchor. 3 or 4 derelict boats and 2-3 mast that you can see over the water. holding is good in mud. I dinghy to the free dock. The place was clean and a playground at 2 minutes walk. Nice place to stay.

Anchored outside the local full timers. Short dinghy ride to the free dock. Great burger at Pub Americana. Nice Main Street with art and antiques, ice cream, etc. Hardware store open since 1875 under the same family ownership. Nice waterfront park.

Draft: 6.0'Overall Rating:4Holding:5Wind Protection:4Current Flow:5Wake Protection:4Scenic Beauty:3Ease of Shopping:5Shore Access:5Pet Friendly:5Cell Service:5WiFi:1There is good holding here, and you are close to everything Cocoa Village has to offer.
The only negative is there is some piracy going on in this anchorage. A lot of the derelict vessels that were kicked out of the local marinas wound up here, and brought the reasons they were kicked out with them. Leave a light on, or a radio, and keep your boat locked. You'll most likely be fine, but there is no reason to risk it.
Wind protection is pretty good, and N wind is blocked by the bridge/park. Exposed to S wind.
Use the free dock at the NW side of the anchorage to get to shore.
There are a lot of dog friendly establishments here, so bring them along. I recommend Von Stephan Village Bier Garten.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Anchor south of power lines. Dinghy to dock by boat ramp immediately to north, walk to village. See Harry The Potter, ice cream on the corner, and donuts from Sugar Shack. Yum!
