The Jacobson Marina Resort was a very pleasant marina, although a bit more expensive that other marinas in the immediate Frankfort Bay. John, the owner, is very friendly and was waiting on the dock to assist with the mooring lines. The marina is very clean, has well-maintained fixed docks, has a small ships store (limited selection), and is located in the middle of Frankfort with a short walk to everything in town. There are large open grass park areas about 2-3 blocks from the marina, and a fenced-in, off-leash, dog park that is about a ten-minute walk to the east, so the marina area is exceptionally dog friendly. We did not used the restrooms/showers, so we cannot comment. The town has several restaurants providing a wide array of cuisines.

This is the most fun marina we have ever been! Very nice docks in a sheltered spot. John and all his dockhands are great. There was a Saturday afternoon concert at the heated pool! There are many grills and picnic tables available. Restrooms were very clean and there is laundry available. Frankfort is a beautiful, small town with many restaurants and shops. Don't miss this stop!

Easy in/out marina with wide, fixed docks. Wifi even reaches the boats! Very clean and secure single sex, password protected bathrooms. Town is just steps away with many shops, restaurants and multiple ice cream shop choices. We were able to borrow a bike to get around the mainstreet area. Harbormaster and staff were very kind and helpful.

Easy in/out marina with wide, fixed docks. Wifi even reaches the boats! Exceptional single sex, password protected bathrooms. Town is just steps away with many shops, restaurants and 3 ice cream parlors. Courtesy van is available to go to the grocery store. Will definitely stop here again and recommend to friends.

This is one of the nicest spots we have stayed at on the Loop. Pleasant and helpful staff, solid and maintained docks which are close to the office and restrooms and grills, etc. The owners will grill BBQ ribs which really tasty and deliver them to your boat. The marina is only a block from the main street with several good restaurants. Unfortunately, we could only stay one night. Would recommend without reservation.

Nice marina. Expensive. They close the very nice lounge at 7pm. The whole marina is subject to minor rocking and rolling from wind driven waves that get into Betsie Lake and perhaps an occasional boat wake - but every marina in this harbor will have that. Nice four point tie up. Natural gas grills by slips but take forever to heat up. Great staff.

Ok the positives: Pool for the kids, clean restrooms/showers, 1 block from downtown and close by supermarket. Boaters lounge with pool table, books/games and large CD TV. Not so positive: premium dockage pricing, high diesel pricing, $20 pump out, screws sticking up in dock walkways, closing bathrooms for cleaning during prime daytimes, hot tub closed off, no ships store onsite or locally by bike. Wouldn’t classify as a “Resort” and would look at other options/ports in the future.

Clean and well maintained docks with lots green space nearby for picnics, dog walking and relaxing. It's a short walk to the municipal park and good quality restaurants in town. Harbormaster John was friendly and helpful. The February 2019 storm has done some damage in the marinas around, but Jacobson's appears to have the work complete in May 2019. High water heights make the fixed dock a bit low, but very manageable.
