Great stop. Call lockmaster to ask for permission. Keep to right of lock/dam floating concrete divider wall [do not follow the sign at the large piling pointing to the Lock unless you want to lock through] - you must dock on the right/dam side; good cleats on a high wall; with mild current, so better to tie port side into current; no rocking/chop as on the Mississippi itself.

A definite refuge on the Mississippi R. Barges are a bit rough but functional and they have power [30/50A] and fuel again. Incredibly helpful group of men for our docking in a turbulent current with wind thrown in. Reminds us a bit of Bobby's Fish Camp only better. You have to dock on the river side [not inside the barges] and the current will keep rocking your boat so have at least 4-5 fenders placed just above the water line [unless you are docking at the fuel dock and then they need to be higher] on your port side [dock into the the current]. A unique and actually enjoyable experience, mostly because the folks here are great.

An entertaining and delightful spot. Solid and maintained docks/power, gated, great store and excellent restaurant on site. Staff helpful and friendly; and they have the nicest courtesy vehicle we've been in [drove 16miles to Walmart for groceries/supplies]. Had a prop problem and they have diver available and we had it fixed. Weekends are a bit wild with lots of party boats going to the restaurant, but it settles down by 11pm. No diesel for sale [post flood], but would definitely stay again.

An available place to stop when wanting to go from Peoria to Grafton in 2 days. Phone Logstons that day and confirm they should have first come space and ask for clear directions about where to tie up. The 2 barges are in rough shape so have several fenders at your rubrail and approach the barge into the 3mph current. The barge we were on had no connection to the shore so they sent a boat to pick up cash only payment. It was $1/ft. Nice folks.

Nice folks in a cozy spot. Bit tight for our 54' and water only 4-5' in channels, but ok. Great bar and restaurant to see; unfortunately it was closed on the Monday we were there. Helpful staff; clean bathrooms. Only negative is that their docks are needing some renovations soon; but they were fine for us. Would come again.

Great stop. Bit tight for our 54ft but they docked us at the fuel dock, pulling us tight to the shore end, with lots of help. In the morning we just backed straight out into the river. Friendly folks who are super accommodating and invited us to their steak and potato fest that night. Two tickets bought food and entertainment and no charge for the dockage. Nice clubhouse and bar. Would stop again.

A nice stop at base of downtown and Chicago Harbor Lock; and easy walk to Navy Pier where we took one of the Architecture River tours of downtown [well worth doing, because if you are going to cruise through the center of the city you won't have time to gawk at the sky-scrappers]; large marina with solid docks with gates. Office bit hard to find, but is right next to bathrooms [separate door from the public ones] and to a great outdoor restaurant/bar. Lots of people go by walking/jogging/biking all day. Helpful dockhands when docking. Uber pickup/dropoff is at south end of marina. We would stay again.

A huge marina with over 900 slips, but they are well laid out and our transient slip was close to the showers/toilets which are kept clean. Great onsite store for snacks, etc and they make margaritas as well. The restaurant upstairs is excellent. It is only a few blocks to downtown for more excellent eating opportunities. Their fuel dock leaves a bit to be desired - only 1 diesel pump at the 3 tie-ups and the pumpout didn't work at one. Slips are paired and can be a bit tight so ensure you have help from dockhands and your beam will fit. A good stopover though.

A good place to stop. Solid docks/pedestals; great ships store/convenience; have a bar on the 2nd floor where you can order burgers/pizza made in the office/store and delivered to your table. The only downside is their fuel dock is below standard compared to the rest of the marina - half the pumps didn't work, so call ahead to make sure fuel is available; it also needs the dock to be improved to same level as others. Still, a good place to stop.

This has to be one of the finest marinas we've stayed at. Friendly and helpful staff with docking, pumpout at dockside, etc. Solid, well maintained docks (pedestals are spider havens, same as every other marina). Clean restrooms/showers in a great office complex with a pool and grills beside it. A few restaurants within walking distance. The only issue might be seaweed, which was the worst they've had in years. We would definitely go back and stay longer.

Great marina. New docks, good power and water; clean restrooms/shower. Terrific staff, with high school seniors to help with docking and driving the shuttle; all are enthusiastic, polite, on time. There is a shuttle for shopping in town - great little hardware, and small grocery store attached to a gas station - has a lot of the items found in bigger groceries, just fewer of them. We had a diesel electrical problem and they have a mechanic on call who was most helpful - I ended up replacing the element in my water heater; the local hardware had the part and the mechanics fees were not exorbitant. Would stay again anytime.

It's a big place but we were in a slip 100yards from the laundry/shower/pool building; they also gave us a golf cart to use, as we were over a half mile from the office/store/restaurant/fuel dock complex. The restaurant had good food and variety. They have pumpout at the fuel dock but also a mobile truck to your slip if necessary. Pleasant grounds with car access to all slips and grass borders. Only issue relates to constant chopping water due to boat traffic in channel - marina not well protected from that unfortunately.
Their docks are fixed, well built, but have stubby fingers between slips, so make sure you dock stern in.
We had some confusing conversation on VHF on arrival regarding directions, so just be clear what you need help with and where you should be docking; staff great at helping us dock. They have significant tidal currents so try and come in close to slack tide - just makes it easier.
