Kept our boat here for a couple of months to be near family. Okay at first but then the people that worked there left and the owner took over. Understand he's incredibly difficult. Raised the prices and put in unreasonable rules. It's like he didn't want anyone there. Very strange place. Would only recommend in an emergency.

We are here for the second season. To say the marina has declined is an understatement. While the docks are solid and have had some repair in some places where needed there are no dock hands. The clean bathrooms are no more. The owner has locked them so you are forced to use a dirty bathroom with no shower light. He has said he doesn't want to spend money on electric and cleaning and people should use their boats. Maybe I missed something but one of the reasons boats use marinas rather than anchor is the availability of clean bathrooms and showers.
The wifi is at best spotty.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Be Aware that a pump out is $40! Regardless if you buy fuel or not. I believe this to be the most expensive place from Norfolk to Fort Pierce.
Business Response:
We have recently changed the price down to $20 thanks to your review. Thanks for letting us know and sorry about the pumpoutWG Editor Comment:

Rating is actually 3-1/2. Nice marina, a little aged, but sturdy docks.
Reasonably priced. Close to shopping and a few restaurants that we didn't try.
Staff was semi-helpful when getting us in the slip, but there is a "newbie" dock hand that told the Admiral he was not allowed to tie us off. Her reaction was a torrent of words I won't repeat but justified. Tried to convince him that didn't make sense, but don't think I got through. All we need it to get the boat secured and then I adjust according to tides, wind and waves accordingly. I'm a little anal about what the boat does in the slip (not bouncing off pilings allowed!!) Tough to get tied up by ourselves in calm weather (which is what we had), can't imagine the difficulty if it was windy. Using pilings instead of cleats makes it that much more difficult due to the time it takes to wrap and cinch.
Restrooms/showers are OK (no AC in the ones near our slip), clean and functional. Laundry also OK, just a little aged, also no AC.
However, this is the second time I've been here, and I would not hesitate to come back.
Didn't purchase fuel so no comment thereBusiness Response:
Thanks for the review. We have recently worked with our employees on helping tie off boats. I hope the next time we are able to help get them tied off... I have an admiral also and I do not like making her mad, so I understand completely.View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

Very accommodating as we were looking for a slip that same day since weather was good and we were trying to push further south. Well protected marina which was great because a NE blow was coming. Somewhat sleepy marina but very convenient to grocery and good pizza as well as a Lowes.

Pleasant stay. Very helpful staff and clean bathrooms and showers. Quiet. Very protected docking. Restaurants near marina seemed permanently closed except for a pizza joint that was okay. Very slow fuel pump. It is obvious that the marina is in a transition to be more friendly to transients. When they finish, it should be five stars. I'll go back someday without hesitation.

My experience at Telemar Bay was excellent! I was looking for a marina to haul a sailboat I was considering buying and then prepping] fo trailering back to my home 300 miles away. I found their location online and called ahead to outline the service I needed. I spoke at various times with Michele, Nate, and Tom and they were all consistently helpful and flexible. My schedule was uncertain and this was no high - dollar job I needed, but that made no difference to them! I was treated as if I were a long time, high - rolling customer. In the final analysis, I made the trip, bought the boat, they hauled and prepped it, and I was back home safely in minimal time. I cannot imagine getting better service than that which I received from Michele, Nate and Tom.

We read several poor reviews on this marina but they were the only marina in the area that took us in with open arms. No one else had space or seemed to want to deal with us and our 24' beam.
They guided us in and had someone waiting to help tie us up. The docks are fixed but there was no real tide so it was not a problem. We hooked up to the 30amp power which unlike the review above was available to us. There is a Publix less than a mile away and the beach along with other facilities are in walking distance.
The Marina is very well protected and very quiet.
James the Dockmaster was very cool and on several occasions offered us rides. It's a bummer about the pay internet but it was good for us to unplug for a bit anyway and it was available if we needed it!View location on the Waterway Guide Explorer

A great location but the facilities need some upgrades. The dock electrical sockets are all 50 amp only; meaning if you don't have a 50 to 30 adapter, you're out of luck. No WiFi provided. As a transient cruiser, you get the feeling they don't really want our business.
