Nice little spot. The ferry wakes didn't bother us at all. The distance to the docks is far however, about a mile and the marina charges $10 a day for dingy docking. Worth it if f you need shore access to stores and things versus the beach shore. We opted to anchor here instead of paying the $80 mooring which still gave no dock access.

Great little spot to stop. Free dock free power, using the 50 amp. I back in the spot at the blue power pole. About 12 feet away from the edge I still had six feet under me.

Town close by has amenities for provisions if needed.

We stayed here for two days. Nice little town. The Victoria campground/marina on the south east side has laundry services and water fill up for $10 and pumpout for $35 if needed on the way out.

Marina de Hull was full so we had to stay here. We fueled up (and quite expensive). We asked for a pumpout as we were heading to the lock wall at 7:30 am the next day.  They told us they don't do pumpout when the restaurant is open (it was 2pm and they said I had to wait till 9am tomorrow. I told them we needed to be on the wall early to get in line so the kid went in and said his uncle would be there 6:30am anyway to start getting ready to open the place and they would make an exception then to pump us out. So we made our plans to be back at the gas/pumpout dock for 7. I gave them two stars because when the uncle came over he had the diesel pump in his hand. I told him I already filled my tanks with his fuel yesterday and we needed the pumpout before hitting the Rideau Canal. He said he couldn't me out as the pumpout was broken and they couldn't get parts to fix it. This ruined my early morning to be on the lock wall. If I had known it was broken I could have gone to either of the two other marinas to get pumped out.

Cozy little tucked in area close to shore, enough to hold about a dozen boats in less than 20 feet of depth. It can hold more but you'll be anchoring in deeper water.

Anchor just north of the mooring buoys.

Access to either the town boat ramp by dinghy or the Shelburne park dock as long as you don't leave the dingy unattended. If you do you'll risk a fine and or it being hauled away on you.

Would have been five stars if we had a place to land the dingy and we're able to wander ashore.

I was leary of taking my big boat in with a 4 1/2 ft draft for fear of kicking up stumps off the bottom. However, the dingy run in was a really cool trip. We were the only boat in the harbor at the time. We tied up and walked into town. My one regret was not taking our bicycles with us. It would have made it a six star if we did.

Awesome little harbor. We anchored here as I was cautious about taking the big boat into Otter Creek.

It didn't really have a pet landing area per se but there was a patch of grass across the harbor, north east side.

The problem I didn't like was pulling all the weeds off my anchor chain. They pulled easily but expect to spend 20 minutes pulling them off as you hoist the chain up. I was then afraid I was going to suck them in my engine intakes.

Great little stopover. Mooring costs only $30, you get clean showers and bathrooms. Folks at the club were super friendly and helpful. Lastly easy dingy dock access to walk the pups.

We stayed here on our way to the Hudson. For $85 you don't get a dingy landing and have to pay the marina next door $10 for the day. Granted they have a launch but with dogs that's problematic. As far as bathrooms and showers, they close at 4:30??? Apparently due to vandalism so they shut them down. Diesel prices in this port are also .50 cents above normal. We'll only stay here again if we are forced to but I will anchor next time. Plenty of room to anchor.

Very tranquil anchorage. If you want peace and quiet this is the stop. For larger draft vessels be very careful. As we turned the bend to come in our props hit at low tide. We were in the dead center of the channel but it was a moon tide. It needs a dredging. Our draft is 4 1/2ft and my depth finder showed -.5. I set my finder to be zero when the props hit.

We're out in this big pond so winds from the south can generate decent wakes for boats anchored in the north side. We found an 18 foot hole just off the houses on the inlet and anchored just off the channel going south. It held very well but we did spin around quite a bit. During the day, shore access is no issue for pets as you can go to peanut island. They don't allow landing on the island after sunset. Nights however aren't so great and problematic finding a spot to take dogs to shore. We ventured over toward the marina to the west but we're lucky to not have been kicked out.

With the park construction there is just no place to land a dingy for pet access to shore. This is going to be a really long weekend trekking dogs way up the ICW.

We anchored south of the anchor symbol in the larger harbor area. Still protected very well and plenty of water all around. We had two challenges. First, coming in, the channel isn't marked so we guessed in the center. It got quite low 5' for my 4 1/2' draft so I glided over to get in. Very quickly it got deep again. Second was a place to let dogs off. The beach is cordoned off and marked on one side kayaks only, so we went in a bit and landed on a rocky shore across from the college. Not so bad but be prepared to wade in knee level with your dingy to let them off the boat. Plenty of room in here for many boats. In the course of just a few hours we did swing a 360 around the anchor spot so left enough scope out to keep hold.

Really nice place. Not too many boats at all and still plenty of room for a lot more. Peaceful and quiet on a Friday night. Listening to the live band from shore and enjoying it tremendously. It's 6:30pm and the boat wakes all but stopped now. Easy docking access to the Latana park for the dogs. Clean restrooms in the park. Nice low water here but deep enough for my 4 1/2 foot draft. Anchor caught right away.

Great holding in mud 4-7 @ low tide. Very well protected from most winds/waves except where a hard blow from the South let's some waves and wind roll up the inlet.

We draft 4 1/2 feet and came in at dead low tide with a foot to spare coming in. Come into this anchorage from the north side, not the west as it can get low between Plato and Gardner Island.

The only reason for 4 stars is taking the dogs to shore stinks. It's a long ride to the marina docks, otherwise your landing at the eastern side of Gardner Island and have to jump into a foot of water to get the dingy to shore. Ok when warm, not so much when it's cool or night time.
