In Provincetown, mariners will find a flourishing artists' colony, a working fishing fleet and, in summer months, an army of smiling tourists. Provincetown contains a heady mixture of cultures – sidewalk artists, actors, summer residents and the people who live here year-round, most notably, the fisher folk. While old elm trees and Colonial houses still have the traditional Cape Cod look, art schools and gallery shows, book shops and tourist attractions now fill the narrow streets.
