To the north on the Mystic River, the village of Mystic has several faces. The east side of the river is part of Stonington, while the west side of the river is part of Groton. If you desire to soak up maritime history, Mystic is the place for you.
This scenic hamlet is a family-friendly destination you may never want to leave. Within reasonable walking distance from most of the Mystic River marinas, the village is picturesque, compact and quite busy in season. This is a prime summer weekend destination for many Connecticut residents and tourists from beyond.
