We love Jekyll Island. Great marina with experienced staff. The island is fun to explore. Rent a golf cart from "Red Bug Motors" for a few days so you can get around to see things. Great shopping and wonderful restaurants. Wee Pub Beach is a really fun place to eat and drink. Best fish an chips ever and the black and tan is mighty tasty.

Very nice marina. The dock personnel were outstanding and great help through fueling and docking operations with a considerable current at th time. Very nice facilities, showers, laundry, and restaurant. The courtesy golf cart and bikes were very nice to have, especially with the excellent bike trails on the island. We enjoyed everything about our stay and regret tat work demands forced us to depart sooner than expected. On our next visit, we will stay several days as there is so much to see and we just really like this marina. Highly recommended

Docking on the inside when there's a west wind, like today, has a downside. We're at low tide and I have about 4" showing above my hull waterline. We're a 3.5' draft. We are firmly grounded. One two boat slip further down the dock had mud showing 2 hours ago between the boats. Jekyll is a great stop and we've always enjoyed the stop, but this is our first time on the inside.

Fuel facility is on N end, also easy access. A simple, but excellent restaurant/bar is steps away, which also houses laundry, showers, etc. highly recommend this place.

This is my third time going past Jekyll Island but only the first time I've stopped. I can't believe what I've been missing! Great marina with well trained dockhands, loaner bikes and golf carts, clean restrooms and showers. They sell fuel and have pumpout service. They put me on the long face dock, which I thought would be a problem, but there was very little wake and even wind-generated waves during stormy weather wasn't bad. Lots of friendly people there. Walk/bike/cart to the historic area, where you can visit an excellent museum and take a tram tour that includes a tour of one of the "cottages." The village is also close. Provisioning at the market there is disappointing unless you want wine or other beverages; they have very little fresh produce. There are plenty of restaurants in the area, although I cannot recommend the one at the marina, mostly because of the absolutely dismal service I received from a "new" waitress. There are also numerous shops at the historic area and in the village. If you like beaches, there are beaches just about all over the island. There are also extensive hiking/biking trails. I could easily have spent a week there. The marina is reasonably priced (by today's standards, anyway) and worth it. Highly recommended. I hope I get a chance to stay there again.

Good little spot to stop with gas, showers, laundry, free bicycles and even a golf cart. Restaurant on site was great, good food and not overpriced with a great view. Marina staff was friendly and helpful. Loved the hot tub!! However the bathrooms and other common areas could have been quite a bit cleaner, I was honestly very surprised with the state of the bathrooms on the inside compared to everything on the outside. but the water was hot, not smelly, and good water pressure. A little odd to walk through the restaurant to get to the showers on the other side but not a big deal. We will def stop here again on our way through and perhaps spend 2 nights or more, a lot to explore on the island and beautiful bike trails, that sadly we did not have enough time to explore.

Weekly rate is now $14/ft as of 9/10/2023 with no discount for BoatUS. It's a great place to stay and exploring the island is easy with the free golf carts. The on site restaurant is the best on the island, highly recommended.

I've found the electrical connections fine, no problem. Water and pump out are available at your dock. The WiFi works with stations spaced along the dock so you're never out of range.

Sadly cannot agree with recent reviews. Yes the staff are very nice but the owners do not seem to do any maintenance. Shore power pedestals are rusting and falling apart. Half the pedestal night lamps are completely falling off or hanging by a single rusty screw. Many of the freshwater spigots are broken. Yes the golf carts is a nice touch but until they do a little dock maintenance, this should be a $1/ft marina.

Friendly staff who were patient to help us dock, get fuel, and move to our slip. We circled the island in the golf cart to visit Horton House, the Driftwood Beach, and the Viewing Platform. And then cycled to the historical district to see the lights. A beautiful place. It was, however, very challenging to leave the dock as we were pinned to the slip by the current. Also there was not much water arriving from the north. Still, a very nice stop.

Zachary and Tom (owners extradonaire couldn't leave their tenants with no where to eat. They fired up the grill and cooked hot dogs and burgers and provided chips and dessert for their tenants. Loved it. Dock hands are exceptional. Now offer pump out at your slip as well. Laundry and bathrooms are excellent. The ability to have a golf cart for an hour and a half is great. Small market in town or the beach. It's a great place to spend a few days. We go back every year.

It was also nice to have use of the bikes to explore the island. The island has great bike trails. At times we did get rocked by other boats going by but it was not too often. Very quiet and relaxing spot. The restrooms/showers were avaliable but for the price we pay to stay they could have been alot cleaner. Transient slips are on the outside of the linear dock - easy tie up but we did get occasional wave action from passing boats that didn't mind their wake. The dock staff is very professional and prompt. There is an on-site restaurant that has good food, music and service but it is VERY popular for dinner with long wait times for tables. There are three showers/bathrooms - they are clean and have all necessary supplies. They could use some touch up paint on the inside but are fine otherwise. One long face dock with slips behind not too far from a mud bank. If you get a slip in the back it can seem a little tight to get in, but the bank is steep soft mud so you can safely get close to it and the docks hands are very helpful. WiFi was very good.

    3 31 2022 Jekyll harbor marina review.
We were transiting north, and the weather forecast for strong SE winds and small craft warnings prompted us to think about staying a night or two waiting for the winds to diminish. We called in the morning and made a reservation to stay one or possibly two nights. Others had the same idea, so we probably got whatever was left for dock space. We are 39 'and they got us into a spot on the dock between two boats with maybe 49' between them. With the current and wind, it was tight squeeze but the two dock hands did an excellent job of taking our lines and securing them to the dock. The Face dock can get a little bouncy with westerly winds. We have been here before by car and there's lots to see including the historic and business districts. Interesting to learn about the history on this island. The WIFI worked well so we downloaded and updated our Navionics & Aqua Map charts in short order. Convenient on-site restaurant specializes in seafood. The marina is located right on the ICW so boats on the face dock sometimes get wakes form skippers not going slow enough for the no wake zone. Washrooms and private showers were clean.

A well-managed marina. Dock hands experienced and competent. Transients are placed on a long lay along dock on the outside of the slips. If you are at the south end, it's a hike to facilities. The marina is located right on the ICW so boats on the lay along get wakes by clueless or rude people. Winds out of the northwest will whip up a chop that will have your boat rocking. The showers and laundry are clean and first rate. The Wi-Fi,even way out on the south end of the dock, is outstanding. About the best marina wi-fi I have ever used. The on-site restaurant is outstanding (Zachry's Riverhouse), be sure not to miss it! There's a swimming pool for use by transients but the big attraction is Jekyll Island. The marina provides free golf carts and bicycles for exploring the area which is another must-do activity, the island is beautiful and the ocean beach is nearby. The golf carts and bicycles have their own paved paths all over the island. There's a small grocery store in town for provisioning. The island is home to many summer mansions that are open for tours. The owners care about their customers and when the restaurant was closed one day due to lack of staff (covid), he staged a cookout at no charge, and fun was had by all.

Really enjoyed our three nights here, 5-15-21, 5-19-21 and 5-20-21. Dock hands are wonderful and very good and getting you in and out. Rented a golf cart for two days and highly recommend renting one if you really want to explore Jekyll. Great Irish Pub (Wee Pub) on main st. Restaurant at the marina is very good. Lots of history and things to see and do. Will return again.

May 2021 we had a very nice one night stay in the marina. The facility is great and the surrounding area very beautiful. The one problem we had was the availability of restaurants. The one at the marina was closed for repairs. The one up next to the Club was only serving hotel guests and the same was true at the Westin hotel up at the traffic circle. We ended up having a nice meal at the Sunrise Grille near the Westin, but finding that had been frustrating. This may be a seasonal issue of finding enough help, but be aware.

Very helpful staff here. Always checking to see if everything was OK. Wifi was very good. There are golf carts and bikes to use. It is worth a trip to the old town, a lot of history there. There is a small grocery store in Beach Village, it was amazing how much they packed into that small space. Great place to ride bikes, bike trail easily accessable from marina.

Excellent marina in a very nice location. Docking for transients is easy along a very long face dock and the staff is very helpful. There are several nearby-ish restaurants and one right at the marina site. The setting is beautiful, with great bike paths and places to walk, or borrow their golf cart, which is able to circle the entire island in about an hour. We have stayed here twice, and will come back on future trips.

Great Dock hands that are helpful and very welcoming. Golf carts and a shuttle are available. There are lots of great places to walk the dog for miles. A few neat little stores. The Georgia sea turtle center is close by and a great place to visit. The restaurant was very good and inexpensive. The only knock on the place are there are a few liveaboards that let their dogs bark and bark with no attempt to stop the barking.

Great dockhands. Pretty location and everyone friendly. They put transients on long face dock which makes docking easy. Nice casual restaurant on site. Took a courtesy golf cart into town (quaint but not much in town). They were flexible with us as we adjusted our schedule to take advantage of a good weather day to cross the dreaded St. Andrew sound just to the south.

We were welcomed here on June 23, 2020 after a fuel stop turned into an overnight when the courteous manager told me that there was a mobile mechanic nearby and I called Leo Rlss and he said he'd be over to fix our hydraulic steering "as soon as the rain stopped." He was and he filled the lines with fluid!
The service was tremendous! In the face of an incoming thunderstorm the manager and the boat fork lift driver hooked up our electrical lines after pulling SIGMACHI to another position on the face dock.

All of the other reviews are correct. Be sure to walk up the dick and the lovely landscaping and live oaks festooned with Spanish moss is emblematic of the "old Southern ambiance.

Zachary's Riverview Restaurant is on premises and serves a limited menu of basic local cusine.

    Just a very nice stop!

We love this marina...no fancy resort vibe here, which is exactly what we like...clean, well run, friendly, and peaceful. Jovan is marina staff extraordinaire and inspiring ambassador for the special beauty of this island and its wildlife. We will be back!

The people were spectacular. Service oriented. We were sort of pinned in in the am and the folks helped us spring out of a tight spot. A great stop on he way north...not much between here and Savannah.

Friendly staff. Nice docks. Restroom/shower combo above average. Nice walk to historic area and turtle hospital. Our 5 year old made the walk easily on the bike/pedestrian trail which was beautiful. Golf cart available for 90 minute excursions only. There is a pool here but closed in winter. Come in at mid or high tide! Plenty of water near docks. We draw 5'5" and we're plowing our way down the channel from Saint Simons near low tide.
